Ying to your Yang

Ying is the masculine one, right?

We do truly live in a world of opposites. As Dan has mentioned, I have now taken possession of his desk and futon.



So while he must write his blog from the floor, I get to do it from my shinny new (to me) command center. These items fill my room quite nicely and as I look at them I really can't wait to get a house of my own and eventually fill it my own crap. Although the idea of settling down here in Atlanta scares the proverbial fuck out of me.

Also as Dan is fortunate enough to look to the coming year with sincere enthusiasm as a lifelong dream of his comes to fruition, I'm lucky enough to look upon the next couple of years with dread and misery.

I found out this week that apparently my boss is a filthy liar and I've unwillingly sold my soul to him. Looks like when he said, "If you want to leave early on a Friday, so you can catch a flight back home, you can just work a couple of extra hours during the week to make up the missed time", he really meant to say, "Fuck you, I'm taking it from your vacation time." And with Delta if I want a cheap flight I have to leave Friday morning, or return Monday night. Meaning I'm going to spend all of my vacation time on these little weekend trips that leave me more tired than rested, rather than spending real quality time with my friends and lady.
